Since the start of year, 80 suspected militants liquidated in Chechnya, power agents report

During the first 11 months of 2010, 80 members of the armed underground were killed in the Chechen Republic; 80 more militants and 180 helpers were detained: the data was presented at a meeting of power agents in Khankala.

"On December 20, the city of Khankala hosted a meeting of the top officials of the Temporary Operative Grouping of bodies and subdivisions of the Russian MIA (Ministry of Internal Affairs) and other law enforcement agencies, where the outcomes were summed up of their activities within 11 months of this year. According to the announced data, in January-December, 80 IAF members were liquidated in the special operations conducted in the republic; about the same number were detained. Also, within the above period, some 180 militants' helpers were arrested," a source from the Chechen MIA said.

According to his story, the meeting also noted the decrease by 27 percent of the count of grave crimes.
