Seven hunters assassinated in Kabardino-Balkaria
Today in the afternoon, in the forest near the city of Baksan in a blindage (dugout), seven bodies with gunshot wounds were found. The casualties are hunters from the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) and the Stavropol Territory. Another two of them managed to escape from the hands of criminals.
As reported by the spokesperson of the Russian ICPO (Investigatory Committee under the Prosecutor's Office) for the KBR, investigators managed to identify four out of seven killed hunters; however, she refused to disclose the names.
According to preliminary information, four murderers executed the hunters. "They were armed with two submachine guns, a machine gun and a pistol, from which they shot dead the hunters," the source added. According to the ICPO representative, the attackers also hijacked two Niva cars that belonged to the hunters, according to RIA "Novosti".
Arsen Kanokov, President of Kabardino-Balkaria, has already ordered to allocate 500,000 roubles to every family of the seven casualties.
