A militiaman in Dagestan killed one and wounded two people

Last night a militia officer in the settlement of Khushet, Dagestan, wounded three of his acquaintances by a shot from a Government-issue pistol during a quarrel, a source in law enforcement bodies of the republic reported.

"The officer went to see his acquaintance and a quarrel occurred between them. The militiaman shot at the host and two of his guests. All the three men were taken to hospital, one of them died there", the source said. According to him, after the militiaman wounded his acquaintances he started threatening them with arms, took a car and escaped in it, RIA "Novosti" reports.

Militiamen are currently in search of their twenty-five-year-old colleague who according to a source in the Department of Interior Affairs of Makhachkala had worked as a engineer of hardware and program and communication channels service of the Department of Interior Affairs of the capital.

Criminal proceedings have been started on the fact according to several clauses of Criminal code of the Russian Federation, RIA "Dagestan" reports.
