Rostov-on-Don: over 150 detainees within 24 hours

The militia of Rostov-on-Don is working in the strengthened regime in order to prevent possible mass disorders. Within the last 24 hours, 177 persons were detained; traumatic pistols were confiscated from many of them.

However, the city saw no non-sanctioned public actions and no violations of public order.

"In total, 177 persons were brought to territorial interior bodies; of them 122 are students, and 28 are college pupils. The rest of them were 21 jobless persons and six juveniles. In the course of check and inspection of the detainees, two traumatic and one air pistols were confiscated. Also, brass knuckles, a hunting knife, a lead-tipped Cossack whip and two hammers," the spokesman of the Regional GUVD's press service told the RIA "Novosti".

Currently, the Rostov-on-Don militia continues working in strengthened regime. The city streets are patrolled - on the round-the-clock basis - by 340 patrol crews and nearly 2000 law enforcers.
