Inspectors: Pshikhachev was killed from the same weapon as FSIN officer in Nalchik

The ballistic examination has established that the sleeves and bullets found in the place of the murder of Anas Pshikhachev in Kabardino-Balkaria were fired from the same firearm, which was used in November this year in Nalchik to assassinate an employee of the FSIN (Federal Punishment Enforcement Agency). This was stated by the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation IC RF).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Anas Pshikhachev was shot dead by unidentified persons in front of his house in the "Alexandrovka" district. At least four 9 mm sleeves were found in the place of the incident. The criminal investigation was delivered to the Chief Investigatory Department for the NCFD (North-Caucasian Federal District) and the SFD (Southern Federal District).

Supposedly, according to the IC RF, the Mufti was shot dead from a Stechkin pistol or a modified submachine gun. From a similar firearm an FSIN employee was killed in the evening on November 28 in Nalchik, the "Interfax" reports.

The suspects of committing the Mufti's murder are known: residents of Nalchik Astimir Mamishev, born in 1988, and Azparukh Shamaev, born in 1990. Currently, they have been announced into search.

The Presidium of the Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims (CSAM) of Russia condemns the murder of the Mufti of Kabardino-Balkaria Anas Pshikhachev and calls to resist extremism.

The Mufti, who was shot dead on December 15, was buried today into the Muslim cemetery in Nalchik, Kabardino-Balkaria. The last tribute to Anas Pshikhachev was paid by President of Kabardino-Balkaria Arsen Kanokov, head of Karachay-Cherkessia Boris Ebzeev, as well as Ismail Berdiev, head of the Muslim coordination centre of Northern Caucasus. Mr Kanokov said that the republic's authorities would provide every possible help to the family of the deceased Mufti, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
