European Commission allots two million euros to the sufferers from military campaigns in Chechnya
European Commission has decided to allot financial aid to a sum of two million euros to 45 thousand people who have suffered from Chechen confrontation.
This action will become "one more manifestation of solidarity with the people who have been suffering for a long period of time" and help them return to normal life, Kristalina Georgieva, European Commissar on humanitarian aid, declared on December, 13.
The money will be paid off through the Administration of Supreme Commissar of UNO on refugees' affairs and Danish Council on refugees' affairs.
The money allotted by Brussels will be directed, in particular, to dwelling reconstruction which will help the refugees and displaced persons return to their motherland. The rest of the money is expected to be spent on legal aid, public health and education.
Rendering the aid is planned for the first nine months of 2011, "Interfax" reports.
