The opposition in Rostov-on-Don failed to hold the action "The Day of Anger"

"The Day of Anger" organized by the activists of the "Left Front" in Rostov-on-Don was planned for Sunday, December, 12, however the opposition failed to hold the meeting because of a warning of its dispersal from riot squad.

"At the appointed time over 50 riot squad servicemen were on duty in the square together with several paddy wagons placed along the edges of the square. Roman Mosintsev, Deputy chief of militia department No 3, came up to Vladimir Ryazansev and Oleg Prudnikov who had arrived at the square with a group of activists, organizers of the action, and brought a "notice of inadmissibility of extremist actions", Press service of the "Left Front" reports. 

According to the information from the organizers of the action, Mosintsev in an oral talk "adviced the oppositionists to "see Nurgaiev's yesterday's TV message" and informed that "militia had got instructions from Nurgaiev on dispersal of "your "Left Front" using the whole complex of special facilities" "for both in Moscow and in our city the situation is restless because of you". 

The organizers of "The Day of Anger" say that not wishing to be detained once again they decided to postpone the action, Gazeta.ru reports.

"Caucasian Knot" has already informed that on December, 8, the participants of "The Day of Anger" in Rostov-on-Don received a reply from the Municipal Administration with a new prohibition of holding a meeting in Sovetov square, main square of the city, in front of the building of the Municipal Administration. The participants stand for protection of clause 12 of the Constitution guaranteeing the right of local self-government.

It should be mentioned that an action of memory of the lost student Maxim Sychev passed off in Rostov-on-Don on December, 12. According to different sources, from 300 to several thousand people took part in the procession. No one was detained. Maxim Sychev, student of Rostov State Construction University, died on November, 27, from the trauma he had got from his course mate, native of Ingushetia. According to the investigation's data, the student suspected of Sychev's murder used to practice wrestling techniques on him and in one of the fights Sychev got a trauma of his head. The student was taken to hospital and died in a state of coma there.
