In Dagestan, five MIA officers detained as bribery suspects
On December 7, in the outskirts of the village of Korkmaskala, Kumtorkalin District of Dagestan, officers of the criminal investigation division of the Kumtorkalin ROVD (District Interior Division) were detained at the moment of obtaining 200,000 roubles of bribe for releasing of a woman suspected of a crime.
According to the spokesperson of the republic's FSB (Federal Security Bureau), the detention operation was conducted jointly by operative agents of the FSB and of the own security division of the Dagestani MIA. As a result, Militia Captain Z. Guseinov, head of the criminal search division; senior militia detective Militia Major M. Khiviyasulaev; operative officer Senior Militia Lieutenant M. Tetekaev; operative officer Senior Militia Lieutenant R. Ataev; and junior operative officer Militia Lieutenant D. Shikhamatov were detained.
According to the FSB, the militiamen claimed the amount of 500,000 roubles and were detained at receiving part of the bribe - 200,000 roubles, the RIA "Dagestan" reports.
Now, initiation of criminal proceedings is decided.
