Cossacks rally in a village of Stavropol Territory
Today, in the village of Tatarka, Stavropol Territory, local Cossacks held a rally to protest against deteriorating living standards and problems of the settlement.
"In total, the rally was attended by about 250 persons - Cossacks and local villagers," told the press service of the Terek Cossack Army. There were several reasons, but most important one - worsened living conditions of villagers. Problems abound indeed: absence of market for sale of agricultural products, no good roads with sidewalks, of the bath and public toilets."
The spokesman also said that the streets of Tatarka have practically no illumination; there are acute problems of water supply and gasification, lack of kindergartens, and traffic of transit trucks through the Upper Tatarka.
According to the source, due to lack of cattle burial, residents know facts, when animal carcasses and faeces were discharged into the Yegorlyk River running into the Sengiley Reservoir, the "Interfax-South" reports.
So far, the local administration has not commented the situation.
