Residents of Astrakhan Region hold picket in Moscow
Today, in Pushkin Square, residents of the Astrakhan Region held a picket against the "lawlessness", reigning in the region, as they assert.
The action could not start at the applied time - at 2:30 p.m. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by Yevgeny Ikhlov, one of the organizers and an activist of the Movement "For Human Rights", that there were some problems with the militiamen on duty in the square. However, after ten minutes of clarification the protesters were allowed to unfold their banners.
The posters read: "Prosecutors are idling, criminals are at large, and innocent people are in prison", "Criminals in power - end to the state", "Violence begets hatred", "President, stop lawlessness in Astrakhan!", "Our children are losing faith in the state," "Return law to Astrakhan", etc.
The picket lasted less than an hour. Law enforcers did not put any pressure on the picketers.
The event was preceded by a press conference "Astrakhan Kingdom of Lawlessness" held at the Independent Press Centre in Moscow.
