Attempt on federal judge committed in the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria
Tonight in Nalchik, Kabardino-Balkaria, unidentified persons shot a judge of the Cherek District Court.
"At about 5:15 p.m. Moscow time, at the entrance of a house in Kuliev Avenue an unidentified criminal made several shots at a judge of the Cherek District Court, a man born in 1966," said a spokesman from the Investigatory Department (ID) for the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) of the Russian ICPO.
According to the source, the shooting made no harm to the judge. "Two 9 mm shells were found in the venue," he added.
The investigatory division of the above ID in Nalchik opened a criminal case under Articles 295 (encroachment on a person executing justice), 222 (illegal circulation of arms and ammunition) of the Russian Criminal Code. The judge's name is not disclosed in the interest of the investigation, the "Interfax" reports.
