Dagestan: no progress in case of pregnant woman, shot dead in special operation
Mamatkhan Baisultanov, a resident of Khasavyurt, has visited, on his own initiative, the Investigatory Committee, which holds inquiry of violations admitted by the militia during investigation into the execution of his daughter-in-law - Sapiyat Magomedova, who was in the fourth month of her pregnancy.
At the Committee he was received by Abdurakhman Aliev, head of the division for especially important cases of the Republic's Investigatory Committee. Mamatkhan told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that they had a "substantial conversation."
"I went to Aliev, because the Investigatory Committee failed to react to the demands of the Dagestani Prosecutor's Office to eliminate the violations revealed in the course of investigation into my daughter-in-law's execution. Aliev said that he would run the case himself; one of these days it would be started and details of the incident would become known," said Baisultanov.
He has reported that hopes for positive changes in the course of the case: "The process is on for the third year; a criminal case was initiated. I think, I've visited all the bureaucratic structures, but things are still there, although all the circumstances of the tragedy are known."
The Investigatory Committee of Dagestan confirmed to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent the fact of Baisultanov's address there and that the criminal case would be set afloat.
