Former head of Kuschevskiy District gets to hospital after suicide attempt

Valery Palkin, former head of the Kuschevskiy District, Krasnodar Territory, cut his veins open and was hospitalized, said the press service of the regional GUVD.

"Yesterday, on November 29, Palkin opened their veins. His wife called an ambulance; and he was hospitalized," said the press service.

According to the source, now the life of ex-head of the Kuschevskiy District is out of danger. The materials on this fact are at the district militiaman, the "Interfax" reports.

At the same time, earlier Ivan Sengerov, spokesman of the Investigatory Department of the Investigatory Committee for the territory, said that they had not received any materials on this fact.

Representatives of the Kuschevskiy District Hospital have neither confirmed nor denied the information that Palkin was treated there after a suicide attempt, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

Valery Palkin left the post of the head of the Kuschevskiy District in 2000, after Boris Moskvich won the election; two years later he was shot dead near the local administration. A suspect of the Moskvich's murder was first detained on November 29 and today arrested under decision of the Kuschevskiy District Court. The investigation asserts that the arrested person has no relation arrested under decision of the Kuschevskiy District Court to the massacre of 12 persons in Kuschevskaya on November 5.
