Special operation is on in Dagestani village of Balakhani
Today, from 8 in the morning, Balakhani village, Untsukul District of Dagestan, is blocked by units of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). This was reported by power structures of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD).
The village is under a targeted check for the presence of militants and for illegal possession of weapons, ammunition and explosives.
"The check was undertaken after we received operative information that some of the villagers possess firearms and explosives. Currently, the information is verified. Additional military machines and forces are now brought closer to the village," the RIA "Dagestan" quotes a source from law enforcement agencies.
So far, no fire was opened in the village, the "Interfax" reports.
Let us note here that today the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime, announced on November 28 in the Kizlyar District of Dagestan, was cancelled, as reported by the RIA "Novosti".
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the course of the special operations conducted in a part of the Kizlyar District of Dagestan two suspected militants were liquidated.
