Drug policemen in Chechnya confiscated drugs from an employee of the Ministry of Emergency Situations

On November, 23, in Shelkovskoy district of Chechnya, drug policemen detained an employee of fire-prevention service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations who is suspected of illegal drug storage.

"On November, 23, during realization of operational information in the settlement of Shelkovskaya the personnel of Federal Drug Enforcement Service in Chechen Republic detained a twenty-five-year-old local resident, employee of fire-prevention service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. During examination of a "Zhiguli" car belonging to the fireman operative agents found a plastic container with hashish oil. The total weight of confiscated matter was equal to 118 gram", the republican Ministry of Interior Affairs reported.

"The actions of the detained person fall within the components of a crime stipulated by part 2, clause 228 of the Criminal Code (illegal purchasing or storage of drug substances on an especially large scale without the purpose of sales). Such an action results in punishment of three to ten years of imprisonment and a big fine", an official of the Ministry of Interior Affairs remarked.
