"Voice of Beslan" holds picket in Vladikavkaz
Today, activists of the All-Russian Public Organization "Voice of Beslan" have held a picket in Vladikavkaz with a demand to pass a law on the status of victims of terror acts and investigate the terror acts committed in the territory of the republic.
The picket was about 50 persons strong; it was observed by militiamen and agents of the local FSB and division for combating extremism, who videoed and photographed the action.
The picketers held posters: "Mr Ahmetkhanov! Who of STSI (State Traffic Safety Inspectorate) was made responsible for terror acts?", "We demand to investigate terror acts", "We demand the law on status of terror act victims", "We demand accountability for terror acts", "Why is the decision on privileges for victims of terror acts on utility bills not observed?"
Ella Kesaeva, head of the "Voice of Beslan", urged passers-by to support the demands of the picket. "If we had been heard and seen at least some results, we should not have come out to the street," she said.
