Dzangiev suspected of Vladikavkaz terror act earlier figured in murder case in Ingushetia
Yusup Dzangiev, arrested by the court of Vladikavkaz on suspicion of committing the explosion in the city marketplace September 9 and other terror acts, was previously accused of involvement in the murder of family members of the teacher Vera Draganchuk on August 31, 2007, in Ingushetia; however, he was released without charges.
Dzangiev was detained in Ordzhonikidzevskaya village, Sunzha District of Ingushetia on November 17. On November 19, the Lenin District Court of Vladikavkaz decided to arrest him.
According to Vladimir Markin, spokesman of the ICPO (Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor's Office), in the course of the investigation of the terror act in Vladikavkaz, five suspects were arrested - brothers Islam and Vakha Khashagulgov, Khizar Daurbekov, Umar Dzaurov and Ibragim Daurbekov. Two other suspects - Ali Daurbekov and Magomed Latyrov - were also members of this terrorist grouping, but so far they figure in the case, which is investigated by the FSB.
As reported by the newspaper "Kommersant", law enforcement bodies learnt about Yusuf Dzangiev from evidences of earlier detained militants.
Law enforcers believe that Dzangiev is the leader of the so-called "Karabulak grouping", which operated in the territory of Ingushetia, although earlier his name was almost never met in militia messages, the "Gazeta.Ru" reports.
The attitude of Dzangiev and his family to new suspicions is unknown.
