Three drug inspectors detained in Dagestan on suspicion of bribery

Three officials of the Department of Federal Service of Drug Traffic Control (FSDTC) of Russia in Dagestan were detained on November, 18, for suspicion of bribery.

Ragim Aivazov, Chief of Department of operational service, major of police, Fazil Gazaraliyev, his deputy, captain of police and Magomed Abasov, operational officer, are suspected of bribe-taking at a sum of 75 thousand rubles. They have been detained by the personnel of the Department of Federal Security Service of Russia in Dagestan during operational search actions.

The cause of the operational search actions had been a statement of a resident of Makhachkala on extortion of 200 thousand rubles from him for avoiding criminal proceedings against him according to clause 226 of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation (illegal purchasing, storage, transportation manufacturing and proceeding drugs, psychotropic matters or their analogs).
