Refugee who burnt herself in protest dies in Georgia
Nana Pipiya, who tried to commit self-immolation in front of the Ministry for Refugees' Matters and Accommodation, has died in the Georgian burn centre, as reported by employees of the centre.
As reported by the IA "News-Georgia" with reference to doctors, the woman died from cardiovascular and pulmonary insufficiency.
Earlier, Paata Davitaya, Vice-Speaker of the Georgian Parliament and the leader of the refugees' organization "We Ourselves", asked David Bakradze, Chairman of the Georgian Parliament, at the sitting of the Bureau to take personal control of Nana Pipiya's healing process. The parliamentary committee on public health was instructed to urgently investigate the situation and solve the problem.
