Blogger Gadjizade released from prison in Azerbaijan
Today, the Baku Court of Appeal, Azerbaijan, has passed a decision on early-conditional relief from prison of Adnan Gadjizade, a young blogger and head of the youth movement "Ol" (Be).
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that Gadjizade's appeal complaint was filed against the decision of the Garadag District Court of Baku, which had rejected blogger's early relief after serving half of his sentence.
In their turn, the judges of the Baku Court of Appeal, chaired by Sahibkhan Mirzoev, have partially upheld Adnan Gadjizade's complaint by conditionally exempting him from further punishment. Thus, Gadjizade will not serve the remainder of the sentence - seven months and one day - behind bars. The blogger was set free right in the courtroom.
The other blogger - Emin Milli - and journalist Einullah Fatullaev, whose release is also demanded by international community, remain in custody.
