Alternative show of film about journalist Baburova to take place in Moscow on November 19

Today, in the House of Journalists, friends of the "Committee of January 19" will hold an action intended to invite the visitors of the festival "Profession: Journalist" to the show of the alternative documentary dedicated to Anastasia Baburova, a journalist who was shot dead on January 19, 2009, together with lawyer Stanislav Markelov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the film by Valery Balayan "Love Me, Please" was to be screened on November 16 at 3:00 p.m. in the House of Journalists within the festival "Profession: Journalist" and in December - at the International Human Rights Film Festival "Stalker". However, the film was removed from show, as organizers of the above events deemed it impossible to ensure safety of festival participants and spectators.

The film will be screened on November 19 at 7:00 p.m. at Andrei Sakharov Museum and Public Centre. After the film, a discussion will be held with invited experts, the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" reports.
