Armenian opposition to rally in demand to release political prisoners

On November 9, the Armenian capital of Yerevan will host an opposition rally demanding to release political prisoners.

The rally will be addressed by the first president of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan. The key issues to be raised by the participants of the rally are restoration of democratic freedoms, liberation of political prisoners and foreign policy challenges, the "Armenia Today" reports.

Levon Zurabyan, coordinator of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC), told journalists that the pretext for the rally was the Armenia-EU human rights seminar scheduled on the same day, the "Hot News from Armenia" writes.
