Resident of Nevinnomyssk states disappearance of her 12-year-old daughter in Makhachkala
Elena Ivanova, a resident of the city of Nevinnomyssk, Stavropol Territory, states that her daughter - Ruzana Ivanova, born in 1997, - disappeared in the morning of November 10 in Makhachkala. A few days later the Ivanov family received a demand of 50,000-rouble ransom for her liberation.
According to Elena Ivanova, in the morning on November 10 the girl put on her clothes and went out to Engelsa Street, where the Ivanovs rent an apartment. Nobody has seen her since.
Ruzana's mother does not rule out that the girl could go to the bakery to buy some bread. According to her story, the daughter has no friends in Makhachkala. "For her, this is an absolutely unknown city; she knows nothing here," the woman explained.
Helen also said that Ruzana had left her mobile phone at home. There were no calls from the girl to her mother's number; however, Elena said that at night on November 10 Ruzana received a call from a stranger. The mother has no idea of who could call the girl at that time, and the caller's telephone number is also unknown to her.
A few days after the incident, the Ivanovs received a demand to pay 50,000 roubles for release of the girl. The SMS-message, in which the unknown kidnappers demanded with threats to transfer the demanded sum to the Yandex.Money Service, arrived to the phone of the girl's uncle.
It happened after the local TV showed a report about the missing girl. "We gave an announcement, attached her photos and gave our phone numbers - mine and my brother's." The threat came to his phone," said Elena.
She addressed the militia twice; on the third day after the incident her application was taken. "They told me that they would work and look for; and when they find her, they'd call me," she explained.
The Sovietskiy ROVD (District Interior Division) of Makhachkala confirmed to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the application about the disappeared girl was accepted and under investigation. A law enforcement official from the ROVD also explained that in a short time the prosecutor's office would start searching the missing girls; however, the Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor's Office reported that they had not received any materials on the incident yet.
