Group of information terror counteraction to be set up in Volgograd Region
The Antiterrorist Commission of the Volgograd Region has decided to set up a counter-terror information group, comprised of representatives of scientific and creative intellectuals, public figures, clergymen, special agents and administrative officials.
The decision was made on November 9 at the sitting, where the Commission discussed the progress with the activities under the "2008-2012 Complex Plan for Informational Combating Terrorism in the Russian Federation".
Next year, the Antiterrorist Commission plans to undertake a sociological study of development of religious, ethno-social and ethno-political processes in the Volgograd Region, a study of the attitude of young people to manifestations of extremism and terrorism, the press service of the Administration of Volgograd Region reports.
Besides, the region plans to launch a series of TV and radio programmes and newspaper articles, aimed at addressing the issues of informational counter-terrorism, the "Interfax" reports.
