A case connected with threats of reprisal over Russian-speaking residents referred to court in Stavropol
An investigation of a criminal case against a resident of the settlement of Demino accused according to part 1, clause 282 "Fomentation of hatred and animosity and derogation of human dignity" of Criminal code of the Russian Federation has been accomplished in Stavropol. This news came from Olga Naumenko, Aid Head of Stavropol inter-regional investigative department of Prosecutor's committee of inquiry of the Russian Federation in the district, on November, 10.
According to the investigation, in July, 2010, a man in a public area started expressing hostility towards Russian-speaking people. In the presence of outsiders the man threatened that he would deal shortly with the Russians motivating his utterance by Stavropol's belonging to another national community.
The criminal case was referred to court for consideration on the merits, STRC "Stavropolye" broadcasts.
The position of the defendant and his attorney on the accusations brought against his is still unknown.
