A man perished and several more persons wounded during fire upon a militia squad in Dagestan

A militiaman perished, a local woman and from four to five militiamen by different data sources got wounded during fire upon a militia squad committed by unidentified people last night in Kizlyar district of Dagestan.

The accident happened at the fifth kilometer of "Kizlyar - Kraynovka" highway.

The strangers opened heavy fire from a car upon militia personnel on duty who were carrying out motor transport examination. One of the militiamen died on-site and a local woman was wounded.

Four more wounded officers of Kizlyar district Department of Interior Affairs were taken to hospital, RIA "Dagestan" reports referring to the republican Ministry of Interior Affairs. According to another source, not four but five militiamen got wounding of different extent of gravity. This data was reported by "Interfax" with a reference to a source in Kizlyar district Department of Interior Affairs.
