Attempt on militiaman prevented in Dagestan

Unidentified persons tried to blow up a militiaman's car. On November 8, a fighter from a special combat group of the Kazbek ROVD detected a self-made explosive device, when he was washing his car, said a source from local law enforcement bodies.

He told about his finding to colleagues who neutralized the bomb. It consisted of a magnet with attached striking elements in the form of balls taken from a bearing, black wires, a 200-gram TNT block, a wired detonator, 4 batteries, and fragments of black plastic. All the stuff was wrapped with adhesive tape.

A criminal case was opened on the incident under several articles of the Russian Criminal Code, the RIA "Dagestan" reports.
