Communists state city problems at rally in Sochi

On November 7 in Sochi, the rally dated to the 93rd anniversary of the October Revolution brought together about three hundred residents, who were holding red flags, posters and portraits of Stalin and Lenin, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

At the rally, new entrees to the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) received their membership certificates; while speakers highlighted major city problems: raised utility tariffs, environmental and social problems among them.

The posters held by the protesters contained appeals to Russian President demanding fair trial, establishing order in city planning, utility system and ecology. A resolution was adopted offered by Yuri Dzaganiya, leader of the Sochi CPRF, containing the slogans: "Down with dictatorship of party of power!", "Bourgeois government of minister-capitalists - to resignation!" and "Socialism is the way out of crisis!"

Then, the column of demonstrators marched, with their red flags, banners and songs, along the Kurortny Avenue from Lenin statue to the city administration. The traffic was stopped; and the column was accompanied by militiamen.
