Head of Dagestan Magomedsalam Magomedov has formed a commission under the President of Dagestan to assist in adapting to peaceful life of those persons who decide to stop their terrorist and extremist activities in the republic.
Currently, the Regulations on the Commission are being developed, addressing the issues on how exactly it will help amnestied militants. The Commission will be headed by Rizvan Kurbanov, first vice-premier of the local government.
Abbas Kebedov, representative of the religious movement "Akhlsunna-va-Jamaa", will also take part in the Commission. Mr Kebedov was repeatedly been detained by law enforcement bodies; and his elder half-brother Bagaudin Magomedov, who is on the international wanted list, is considered to be one of ideologists of Wahhabism in Dagestan; he was involved in attacks on Russian servicemen in Chechnya and Dagestan.
