NGOs of Ingushetia: consequences of Ossetian-Ingush conflict not eliminated
The tragic consequences of the 1992 Ossetian-Ingush conflict have not been eliminated, while Ingush leaders and deputies of the People's Assembly of the Republic fail to take legal action towards defending the constitutional rights and vital interests of the Ingush people. This was stated by the members of the Coordination Board of Ingush NGOs in their address to Ingushes.
"Immense sufferings were caused to all of us by intentional murders of hundreds of innocent Ingush nationals, thousands of destroyed houses and looted property of our countrymen in North Ossetia. More than 200 persons are still regarded as missing," says the statement of the Coordination Board of Ingush NGOs.
The authors state that the residents of Ingushetia "often compare the 1992 tragedy with Stalin's genocide in 1944" and see no intention of the authorities to eliminate its consequences.
