Georgia simplifies the procedure of getting labor permits for international organizations of Abkhazia and South Osetia
According to Temur Yakobashvili, State Minister of Georgia, the Georgian Government is simplifying the procedure of getting labor permits for international organizations of Abkhazia and South Osetia.
"A permit for their activities in the territories of Abkhazia and South Osetia is directly connected with the law "About Occupied Territories". The rules of getting a permit have been very much simplified and provide good working conditions for the organizations wishing to act within legal boundaries, Yakobashvili said.
For international companies rules are stipulated which they must observe while working in "occupied territories". These include observance of the principle of parity, noninfringement toponymy, i.e. avoidance of perversion of the names of localities in their publications.
With all these, Georgian authorities express a hope that Abkhazia and South Osetia will be acknowledged as occupied territories by the international community not only at declaratory level but in the respective legislative enactments, too.
