"Strategy-31" activists are fined in Rostov-on-Don
Under decisions of magistrate courts, the organizer and two protesters of the "Strategy-31" action held on October 31 in Rostov-on-Don were found guilty under the article of the Administrative Code: "disobedience to lawful order of a militiaman" and fined.
The participants of the non-sanctioned rally in Rostov within the All-Russian action "Strategy-31" were attacked during the event: a few persons in carnival masks ran up to the crowd and started throwing eggs at the opposition. Militiamen gave no reaction to these actions, but protesters were later taken to the police station.
"Right now, the court has ruled to fine us by 500 roubles each," Boris Batyi, a participant of the action and a member of the Bureau of the Movement "United Civil Front", told the "Interfax" today.
The action "Strategy-31" is acting for more than a year: on the 31st day of every month, which has it, Russian citizens go out to rally in demand of fulfilment of Article 31 of the Constitution, which grants citizens with the right to assemble freely in order to express their opinions.
