Prosecutors check violations during elections in Makhachkala
The Prosecutor's Office of the capital of Dagestan has initiated checks of violations during the vote on October 10, the details of which were published by the "Caucasian Knot".
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by Isalmagomed Nabiev, a resident of Makhachkala, that today he was summoned to the above Prosecutor's Office. The pretext for summoning was the material published by the "Caucasian Knot" on October 11 under the title "Publicist Nabiev states violations at election of Makhachkala Mayor".
"I was summoned by Magomeddibir Dibirov, assistant of the Prosecutor of Makhachkala. I saw a printout of the above material on his table. He told me that at the request of the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan a check is conducted on reliability of the information posted on the website," said Nabiev.
"The check will continue; and should any violations of the law be revealed, a criminal case may be initiated," said the assistant.
