In Ingushetia, Khashagulgov's relatives keep children away from school for fear of power agents
Four children from the Khashagulgov family are missing their school in Karabulak for a week already. Their mother Pyatimat says that she received threats addressed to her family.
According to her story, the pressure on the family started after detention of Pyatimat's husband - Issa Khashagulgov. Now he is kept in Moscow at the Lefortovo pre-trial prison; the investigation is on under the charges of organization of an illegal armed formation (IAF) and illegal possession of arms.
"Recently my son-in-law told me referring to his sources close to the republic's top officials that if I continue to give interviews and communicate with human rights activists, they would not spare me, our children and our relatives. He advised me to hide somewhere together with the children. But If I do it, I'm afraid to lose my husband, because only through broad public resonance his case has not ended yet with a guilty verdict," said Pyatimat to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
She asserts that suspicious cars with Chechen, Ingush and Ossetian number plates are all the time on duty near the Khashagulgovs' house, family members are shadowed, and their telephones are tapped.
"Children are scared; they are afraid of these cars. Unlikely that I take them to school before the situation with Issa is clear; now we are all, apparently in jeopardy. Several relatives have been kidnapped already," said Ms Khashagulgova.
According to her story, her husband Issa will be tried before November 25.
