Figurant in Markelov's murder case confesses of trading in arms
Nikita Tikhonov, who is accused of resonant murders, has confessed of trading in arms but still rejects the main charges - of murdering lawyer Stanislav Markelov and journalist Anastasia Baburova.
According to Anatoly Zhuchkov, Tikhonov's advocate, his client was forced into hiding for three years and took up dealing with arms solely for absence of other incomes, the ITAR-TASS reports. Let us remind you that Tikhonov at that time was searched on suspicion of involvement in the murder of antifascist Alexander Ryukhin. Subsequently, this charge was dropped.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that the term of Tikhonov's custody was extended until November 4.
