Hackers' leader detained in Armenia
On October 26, a supposed leader of a criminal grouping involved in spread of computer viruses was detained in Armenia. He coordinated the work of one of the world's largest bot-nets named "Bredolab".
By using servers located in the Netherlands, hackers managed to infect about 30 million computers worldwide. By means of this virus the criminals got access to all the information stored in the infected computer, including logins, passwords and bank codes, the Radio Liberty reports.
Every month the hackers sent out more than 3 billion infected emails. In this case every infected computer became a new bot and continued sending out the virus, the "Exchange Leader" reports with reference to The Guardian.
The Armenian Police have confirmed the detention of Gevorg Avanesov, 27, a Russian citizen wanted by Interpol for hacker's activities, the "Armenia Today" Agency reports.
The viewpoint of the detainee and his defence is still unknown.
