Attempt of blasting military sappers committed in Chechnya
A fougasse exploded during engineering reconnaissance of the territory by the servicemen of a sapper unit of federal forces in the South-East of Chechnya. There have been no victims among the personnel.
In the military commandant's office of the republic a reporter of "Caucasian Knot" was told that the incident took place in the morning of October, 25, in the foothill district of Shale.
"The explosion happened on Monday morning, in the highway between the villages of Avturi and Germenchuk, during an engineering-sapper reconnaissance of the territory by the personnel of Inner troops of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Russia. The activated fougasse had been hidden in a heap of chippings piled up near a housing estate under construction. There are no victims among the servicemen", an official of the military commandant's office of the republic reported.
