Several earthquakes registered in the Caspian Sea near Azerbaijan
On October 22, to the south-east of the Astara District of Azerbaijan, in the Caspian Sea, in the Iranian sector, a number of earthquakes were registered, said the Republic's Seismology Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
At 8:20 a.m. local time, an earthquake of the magnitude of 4.60 happened some 33 km off to south-east of the Astara District of Azerbaijan. The earthquake focus was in the Caspian Sea at the depth of 28 km.
At 9:18 a.m. local time, another earthquake of the magnitude of 4.20 was registered at the distance of 55 km south-east of Astara. The earthquake focus was in the Caspian Sea at the depth of 22 km, the "Interfax" reports.
The subsurface jerks were not felt. There are no victims and destructions, the "Day.az" reports.
