Four locals found in a mine in Kabardino-Balkaria in special operation
In the city of Tyrnyauz, where a special operation to search militants is conducted, four local residents were found in one of the mines: they were gathering scrap metal there.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent learnt about it from an informed source. According to his story, the locals were taken away from the special operation zone.
Currently, the mine is inspected by dog specialists with dogs.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that suspected militants were blocked in the mine.
According to the source of the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, the local Imam tried to communicate with those in the mine, but received no answer.
Earlier, information was disseminated that parents wanted to talk to the militants blocked in the mine, but power agents would not admit them. According to the source, this information is not true. "What parents could we speak about, when nobody knows who is inside?" he asked.
The source also said that the length of abandoned mines makes up to 250 kilometres; there are plenty of exits.
Let us remind you that on October 20, at about noon, law enforcers were checking abandoned mines in search of militants hiding there and got under fire. Ahmed Khubiev, a criminal investigator of the Elborus ROVD, was killed.
Besides, an OMON (special militia) fighter from the Volgograd Region was wounded and hospitalized. His life is out of danger. One of suspected militants was killed by response fire. Now he has been identified as Tengiz Budaev, 24, a local resident. A Kalashnikov, a pistol, grenades and ammunition were found on him.
The CTO regime was introduced in Tyrnyauz.
