CTO regime introduced in Kabardino-Balkaria
The city of Tyrnyauz of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) is under the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today in Tyrnyauz at about 4:00 p.m. unidentified persons attacked MIA officers: one militiaman was killed, and three attackers were also liquidated.
"By the decision of the Operational Headquarters of the KBR, the CTO regime in Tyrnyauz was announced from 7:00 p.m. Moscow time on Wednesday (October 20). Operative actions are conducted within the CTO regime," said the Headquarters' spokesman.
A source from law enforcement bodies of the KBR said now special agents are engaged in a search-and-reconnaissance operation in the mines of the deserted Tyrnyauz Tungsten-Molybdenum Factory, where rebels might be hiding, the "Interfax" reports.
