At trial in Moscow, suspect of killing Dagestani inspector pleads guilty
Rashid Mamedov, a resident of Dagestan, who in 2007 in Moscow killed, according to investigators, senior inspector for especially important cases of the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan Nazim Kaziahmedov, said today at the Moscow City Court that he has fully admitted his guilt. The second defendant, Karen Aslanov, accused of complicity, said that he had not taken any part in the murder.
Today, the Moscow City Court has opened hearings on the merits of the criminal case about the murder of Nazim Kaziahmedov. The representative of the Prosecutor's Office announced the indictment; then, the floor was given to the defendants.
According to Karen Aslanov, he is guilty only of a failure to report to the authorities of the pending crime; but he himself did not participate in its organization.
Said Abdulakimov, a former employee of the Prosecutor's Office, told at the trial that he completely rejected his guilt. "I do not even want to comment on this indictment; all what is written there - absolute rubbish," he said to the court.
The court session was attended by about a dozen of defendants' relatives, the "Interfax" reports.
