In Krasnodar Territory, rector of state university accused of using fake diploma
The criminal case against Albina Gatieva, Rector of the Armavir State Pedagogical University, accused of a fraud through use of a faked diploma of Doctor of Sciences, was sent to the court.
The investigation has revealed that the rector had presented a faked diploma of doctor of pedagogical sciences to the employees of the university, and illegally received money for her degree from September 2007 to June 2008 and from September 2008 to May 13, 2010.
According to investigators, the rector had stolen "budgetary funds in the amount of 42,600 roubles and extra-budgetary funds of the State Educational Institution of Supreme Pedagogical Education "Armavir State Pedagogical University" in the amount of 103,200 roubles."
The Public Prosecutor of the city of Armavir has confirmed the indictment in this criminal case and sent it for examination on the merits to the magistrate judge, the Prosecutor's Office of the Krasnodar Territory reports on its website.
Currently Gatieva is under recognizance not to leave and appropriate behaviour. In the course of the investigation Albina Gatieva has fully admitted the alleged crime.
