The arson of the office of an investigator who deals with corruption cases is being investigated in Volgograd

Some unidentified persons have set fire to the office of a military investigator in Volgograd who had been working at corruption cases. Official documents kept in the office have not been damaged, Press service of the military investigative Department of Prosecutor's committee of inquiry of Russia reports.

The fire took place on the night of October, 7, in the territory of the Military settlement No 1 of Volgograd garrison. The office of Kirill Kravchenkov, Deputy Chief of Military investigative department in Volgograd garrison, senior investigator, captain of justice, was on fire. By the efforts of having urgently arrived fire brigade the fire was extinguished.

A jalousie and an air-conditioner burned down but the official documents which had been kept in the office were not damaged. During the inspection of the scene of the incident with the participation of experts of Headquarters of MES in Volgograd region, fragments of two melted plastic bottles with fuses and traces of combustible mixture inside were found on the windowsill of one of the two windows of the office, RIA "Novosti" reports.

According to temporary acting Chief of the Military investigative department in Volgograd region, Kirill Kravchenkov had recently finished preliminary investigation on three criminal cases of corrupt crimes. The defendants were studying the materials of the dossiers at the moment, ITAR-TASS reported.
