Anthrax focus liquidated in Krasnodar Territory
As reported today by the territorial department of the "Rospotrebnadzor", all the preventive and anti-epidemiological measures have been completed in the Beloglinskiy District of the Krasnodar Territory, where after September 19, cases of anthrax (Siberian plague) in animals were revealed in one of the farms.
The "Caucasian Knot" wrote earlier that in the second half of September cattle deaths from anthrax were fixed in Uspenskaya village of the Beloglinskiy District. Two patients from Uspenskaya were brought to the clinical territorial hospital in Krasnodar with the same preliminary diagnosis. Later, the "Rospotrebnadzor" did not confirm the diagnosis.
There is no danger of disease spread among residents of the region; and doctors have stopped monitoring the workers of the farm "APS Uspenskiy", the ITAR-TASS reports with reference to its source from the "Rospotrebnadzor".
Earlier this month, Alexander Tkachov, Governor of the Krasnodar Territory, made a statement that the anthrax could originate from old damaged cattle burial sites; he set two missions to specialists: to prevent the infection spread in the private sector and find its hotbed.
