Sappers from Russia's MfE defused about 100 explosive items in Chechnya
Specialists from the "Leader" Centre for High Risk Rescue Operations of the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) of Russia continue their work in the territory of the state farm "Zarya" in the Grozny District of Chechnya. In the near future the sappers hope to de-mine around ten hectares of agricultural lands of this state farms.
"From the start of their work of cleaning arable lands of the 'Zarya', the 'Leader' specialists have found and neutralized about 100 various bombs, mines and other explosive items. The method of the so-called end-to-end (100-percent) screening was applied to 27 hectares. In the coming days, the sappers are going to check ten more hectares of the state farms, and all the de-mining works there will be over," a source from the local MfE told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
According to his story, the mission of 38 specialists from the "Leader" Centre, who arrived in Chechnya on September 17, will be over on October 26 this year. "Upon completion of de-mining the 'Zarya' state farm, the sappers plan to start the same work in another farm," said the Chechen MfE.
