Rights defenders report another kidnapping in Dagestan
On September 26, in Khetokh village, Tsuntin District, a local resident Aliev, Ali Magomedovich, born in 1991, was kidnapped from his home, presumably by power agents, and taken away to some unknown place. His relatives appealed to human rights defenders.
As reported by the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial", on September 26, the house belonging to Magomed Abakarov was visited by armed persons; by unconfirmed data they were agents from the division for fighting extremism who wanted to search the house. Abdurashid Abdulkadirov, an employee of the Tsuntin ROVD, came together with them.
There was nobody in the house, except for Ali Aliev, who was taken away without any notification of his relatives. Abdulkadirov said that the detainee was taken to the Tsuntin ROVD, but when Aliev's relatives came there, they failed to find him.
According to the relatives, two more persons were detained on that day in the village. Local residents saw people in dark uniform transhipping one of the detainees from one car into another. A bag was put over his head.
Ali Aliev's fate remains unknown to his relatives. On September 30, Aliev, Shamil Magomedovich, Ali's brother, applied for help to human rights organizations.
