Two men wounded in a night explosion in Nalchik

A representative of the Investigation department of Prosecutor's committee of inquiry of the Russian Federation in Kabardino-Balkaria reported that one of the three militiaman inside a car and the driver of another car passing by were injured as a result of an explosion in Nalchik last night.

It should be reminded that the explosion took place near the secondary school No 27 in the neighbourhood of "Volny Aul". Formerly only one wounded person, a random passerby, had been reported.

As it has been found out, the radio-controlled explosive device of the capacity about 500 gram trotyl equivalent was activated at the roadside in the Second Taman division street, across the road with the secondary school No 27 at the moment a "VAZ" car with three officers of Road patrol service (RPS) in it was passing by.

As a result of the explosion one of the RPS men got a closed craniocerebral trauma and a concussion of the brain. The driver of the car which was following behind the militiamen's "VAZ-2101" was also injured, RIA "Novosti" reports.

The facade of the school building was damaged by splinters. The "First Channel" reports that according to the experts, had the explosion happened in the daytime, a great number of victims would be inevitable.
