Figurants in "Neva-Express" train explosion case face new charges
Ten residents of the Ingush village of Ekazhevo charged of blowing up the "Neva-Express" train in 2009 were presented new charges by the investigation - of blowing up the same "Neva-Express" train in 2007.
According to a source in the Russian intelligence services, the investigation has completed a series of examinations, in particular, of detainees' belongings. They have shown that the clothes confiscated from suspects' homes have traces of hexogen (RDX) and trotyl (TNT) identical to those used to blow up during the "Neva-Express" trains in 2007 and 2009.
Therefore, as the source has reported, in addition to last year's charges the detainees were presented accusations of the 2007 crime, the "Gazeta.Ru" reports.
According to the investigation, the Ekazhevo residents detained during the special operation in March this year did not take direct part in planting the bombs - they produced the explosive devices, the "Rosbalt" reports.
