Appellate Court of Tbilisi left the first Georgian President's son in prison

On September, 21, the Appellate Court of Tbilisi delivered a standing judgment on the verdict of the court of first instance concerning Gamsakhurdia, the first Georgian President's son according to which the convict had to stay in prison nine years and six months.

Keti Bekauri, Tsotne Gamsakhurdia's attorney, declared that the verdict of the court was illegal and would be appealed against in the Supreme Court of Georgia. "Georgia Online" reports that according to the information in the attorney's disposal, Gamsakhurdia himself was present at the session.

"We do not rule out our appeal to the International Court of Human Rights for Tsotne Gamsakhurdia is innocent and all the accusations against him are baseless", "Interfax" quotes what Bekauri has said.
