Explosion near US embassy in Tbilisi
Today at night in the cemetery, located in the Digomi District between the territory of the former car market and US embassy in Tbilisi, an explosion was triggered; it has harmed nobody, and the circumstances are now studied.
As reported by Temur Giorgadze, head of the emergency service of Tbilisi Mayoralty, the place of the explosion, which happened between 1:30 and 2:00 a.m., is 100 meters off the building of the US embassy.
According to an official source, nobody suffered from the explosion; only a concrete wall in the cemetery was damaged, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
In its turn, the press service of the US embassy has reported that "the explosion had no effect on the building of the embassy and caused no excitements among the employees of the diplomatic mission."
